I can highly recommend, she has years of knowledge and experience. Sandie puts on fab scenario days where the dogs find clues and we solve mysteries as a team.
The dogs really love using their noses, it's therapeutic for them as well as fun x

Both Nancy and I thoroughly enjoyed Scent School. The small friendly and fun classes were clear, informative and really well paced. Sandie was supportive, patient(!) and individualised learning to suit the dog and handler.
I would never have believed at the beginning that we would be searching buildings, vehicles and land after 6 weeks! Loved it!!
Reasons why I'd recommend Sandie's courses:
- My pup, Alan, can be a sensitive soul at times and was scared of his own shadow as a lockdown puppy. As we've worked through the levels with Sandie and Bill, his confidence has grown , he is way less reactive to other dogs and the bond between us has gotten stronger.
- Alan isn't a stereotypical scent detection breed but that didn't stop us. Sandie is very experienced and works with the dog in front of her, tailoring the training to suit their needs.
- As a person with disabilities, I have been welcomed on all the courses and I love the fact that doing 1 hour of scent detection work and using his brain tires Alan out way more than me taking him for a crazy long walk! He is out of the count when we get home!
- And the bonus is, I've made some amazing friendships at the same time, with other handlers on the courses. We all work as a team to find the clues to solve murders or kidnappings, it's brilliant fun for both dogs & humans alike!
I am so pleased we did this course. It's bee a struggle finding something to bond with Aria on, as she was always quite aloof and independent. The excitement I see in her now when I ask if she wants to play "find it", or she sees me get the kit out, is amazing. I love that we now have this fun activity to do together and it has really helped us understand each other better and become better buddies .... Thank you so much!
