Sandie
Head Trainer

I have recently retired after serving 30 years as a frontline Police Officer, over 25 years as as a police dog handler.  I was a General Purpose Police Dog Handler, a Firearms Support Dog Handler and Specialist Search Dog Handler.  I have worked GSD's, a Dutch Herder, Husky x GSD, Malinois,, a Rottweiler, a Labrador x , sprocker and Springer Spaniels.

In 2012 I started running puppy school courses.  I am a Puppy School Tutor and run Puppy School Kidderminster part of the Puppy School Uk franchise.  I have learnt so much more training puppies and older pet dogs and have helped train such a variety of breeds and would love to bring the pet dog into the wonderful world of Scent work!

In 2020 I attended a City & Guilds Assured Scent Instructor course with The UK College of Scent Dogs (now The College of Scent Dogs), I then undertook the City & Guilds Assured Scent Handler course and 6 day Assessment to become a City & Guilds Assured Scent Instructor and in 2020 Sandie's Scent School was born.

I aim to bring the wonderful world of scent work to you and your canine companion together with my wealth of operational experience to make your journey more enjoyable

LIBBIE

I am Libbie and I am a 7 year old Schnoodle.  I attended the Scent Handler Course with my mum.  I wasn't the easiest of students as my attention span isn't as good as some of the spaniels and I am only small.

We continued to practice scent work at home and three months later we attended a 6 day Asssessment at the UKCSD training centre at Statfold Barn Railway

Well, we passed our  Assessment with flying colours and we were the most improved team!  My mum is now a UKCSD Ambassador and I am a UKCSD Scent Detective and mum's right hand dog.

I am proof that you don't have to be a "typical" search dog breed to enjoy the wonderful world of scent.

I have since attended a Odour Trailing Course. So beware if you have hidden odour I WILL follow you!

It is fun, funky and rewarding........   Why not sign up?

River

I am River a 2 year old English Springer Spaniel.  I am hoping to become a UKCSD Scent Detective like Libbie.

This is me getting used to going over suitcases.  You are never too young to learn!  It's all fun and relaxed training and Mum knows that not all of us learn things the same way or at the same rates she's had lots of practice helping to train puppies and dogs and trained lots of specialist search dogs over the years and says they are all individuals.

The training is flexible for each dog and handler and Mum makes sure that you and your dog are not left behind or pushed on before you are both ready.
